Do I Need a Notary Public for My Affidavit?

If you have an affidavit to swear or affirm, the party asking for the affidavit may require it to be signed in front of a certified witness. This may be a commissioner of oaths and/or a notary public.

If you have already submitted the application with solely your signature, you may receive the rejected document advising to have the document signed in the presence of a certified official.

The official will also leave their signature.
